There are few joys to match passing on specialized knowledge of a sport to a willing student. I've coached for over 20 years, off and on, and the delight I feel when some player "gets it" is incomparable.

I often imagine my grandmother looking at me and smiling that we both had five daughters - and I will myself to remember her voice, her smell and her sense of humor. She would have been proud.
I miss her terribly ...
